Exhausts.... And Stuff

Nothing too technical I hope!

I would like noisier pipes on my TZR 2502ma.

Notwithstanding the reduced weight, increased performance, etc, etc.

I'm not interested at all in going faster - just want something that looks better and sounds nicer.

Would something like this be a good idea?

More importantly, do I need to take into consideration changing jets when changing exhausts? Is there ever such a thing as a straight swap when exhausts are concerned?

Rob.

Thanks for the replies...

Liked the videos.

Maybe I can re-phrase my original question, with my novice hat on.....

When replacing standard for after-market pipes, do I need to be concerned with re-jetting, when increasing performance is not the primary concern.

Those of you who have read some of my other posts may understand when I say I want it to be loud enough to make my presence aware to other road users who insist on using the highway whilst using mp3 players, or some other form of distraction!

Regardless of what you're looking for from a set of pipes, most aftermarket ones will require a degree of rejetting from stock. You may get away with it if you're just going to bimble around enjoying the noise, but if you use it in anger, it'll need jetting to suit. Those ones in your link look fucked, what is your bubget?

You might be better off getting Martin77 to make you a set. I've used his on my TZR and they needed no re-jetting and gave a nice increase in power! I also have some on my TDR.. NSR...LC etc!

What sort of money does he charge for a pair of pipes?

Hello... yep, as2smoke says, I can make you some 2MA pipes, lightweight and give a nice boost to the midrange power (not that you care about such things)..I'll PM you some details in a moment or two... but they do make it sound a bit more interesting at the very least.

LOUD PIPES SAVES LIVES, when youve reached a level where your ears ring with earplugs & ear muffs on .......................its about spoton (or get a blue whale to ride pillion i think they have a wicked decibell output, wont help your power to weight though)

+1 for Martin77's pipes. I've got a pair on the TDR and they're cracking*

*edit - 'cracking' as in very good, not as in 'falling apart'!

I thought I saw a new set of pipes in the donnington video!
