toosmooth
would you? my rad has sprung a tiny leak somewhere unreachable, and of course BMW say even if you use the wrong coolant (let along radweld) that you, your family will die a horrible death. So, common sense says NO, but who'd say yes?...

BudgetBoy
Im sure that crappy rad weld is meant to be a temp fix only.. If it were my BMW i would get another rad..

IforB
Rad weld is a pain in the arse. It can block up waterways and cause bigger issues. Just lob in a new radiator and change the water pump whilst you're at it, the standard ones are fitted with a plastic impeller and it's a case of when it fails not if. Are you sure it's actually the radiator and not the plastic expansion tank attached to it? They're buggers for failing.
lorenzo
i know that older beemers have a plastic bleed valve on the rad which can fail. Costs less than a fiver.
BenF125
I put radweld in my old 306. It didn't fix the leak, but it fucked up the heater matrix. Don't do it.
Instant Gymnast
I told a mate about the egg in the rad trick. He came back to me and said that he couldn't get any more water in the rad. I had a think and then it came to me… He had put the egg in to the rad once the thing was up to temp and the egg had poached the minute it touched the core, blocking it... DICK HEAD…….. Jenny Pryde
Why not call RAC/AA, get them to pressure test it and smear some chemical metal over the hole?
