Evilchicken0
I've had a pair of Dymags repainted, should I do something to the areas where the metal is naked ???
Gobert23
Who did the repainting? If the magnesium alloy's been stripped back, then (I believe) the correct process is to re-chromate the wheels (thus providing a barrier to the magnesium alloy) onto which any paint finish is then applied. I had my wheels done last year... Drop me a note if you want the details. G

I've still got to cut of the edge left by the powder coat where it went ove the masking. I'm going to change the bolts for some new ones too. My guess is there not on the original finish , dymag have crack testing and refinished wheels loads of times for me and they have never had a paint finish on the contact surface , and I have also bought a brand new set from them with no paint on these faces , whenever I see a pair of mag wheels for sale I always look at these faces to tell if they have been repainted , alot of people make the mistake of painting these faces Sorry evil but I don't know what they coat these faces in
Evilchicken0
No worries peeps - I'll use a bit of grease as I said. Mine are TT3's, they were from a CBR400 nc29 but they were white so now they're black sparkle with yellow rims, which is nice.
