Ben_ Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 I bought a Kwak that has only one key and fob. I have an expired Gixer with 2 fobs. Can one fob be programmed to be similar to the other? Anyone know?
Hendo Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 If they are both the same alarm system then yes...possibly,maybe,I think. I went on the datatool website and downloaded the instruction manual for my alarm (system 3). I'm sure I can remember it telling me how to program a fob to the system. I shall have a look tomorrow. Andy

andysp1 Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 if they are both the same systems then yes you can. you get the instructions from the datatool website. Its all about connecting the spare wires on the alarm and pushing butons! You know if it goes wrong cause the alarm will not stop going off!! Top tip; Some times the alarm will have a bad day and not arm itself or disarm. If the connections are all OK and the battery in the fob is good and it still wont work, all you do is hold down both buttons( circle and triangle) and keep them held down for about 10 seconds, you will then hear the alarm beep which means its fixed its self.
Ben_ Posted December 21, 2008 Author Report Posted December 21, 2008 Try here: http://www.datatool.co.uk/pdfs/system3_ci.pdf Cheers David. It will mean spending some money it seems as I will need somebody who knows what they're doing. I may just get a mate of mine to take the fucker off; I hate alarms
David W Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 That gets my vote. I'd get shot of the alarm on my bike if I could be arsed.
