RealityRSV Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 have just found a female 9 pin block connector without an other half on my NC30. it has black wires leading into it with tabs on the ends to denote their colours... so not standard then. the other end of the wires are spliced in near the ECU at the back. Everything works on the bike, performance seems fine. so is it for some kind of restrictor/derestrictor thats no longer there?
thefatman Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 I'd say it is an alarm as the clear cover is for the rear indicators. Chop it out and don't worry about it.
billysbones Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I'd say it is an alarm as the clear cover is for the rear indicators. Chop it out and don't worry about it.\ I agree it probably from an alarm, but if its not doing any harm, why chop it out? you may cause more problems than you solve. but from what you say, there is no problem to solve, anyway, is there? I would mummify it in self amalgamating tape and store it in your memory banks. If you get any sort of electrical bugs in the future, it may be handy to know about.
