Blade problem

Hi all i have a 98 blade and am trying to take the engine out to repair the gearbox.The lower rear engine bolt has an adjuster on one end and apparently i cant remove the bolt without slackening off the adjuster (believe me i have tried and will probably have to buy a new one now when i finally get the bloody thing out !!) anyway i wondered if anyone could tell me how to adjust it cos its driving me nuts.
