zx636 starting problems

my 06 zx636 will not fire up,the bike was used a month ago then left in the garage on an optimate charger,i came to start her up for one last ride and the engine turns over ok but will not fire into life,the fuel pump sounds to be priming when the ignition is turned on,i have checked all the fuses all ok,the fi light flashes after a couple of seconds when you press the starter then stays on. please somebody help

Hello mate,if the F.I. light is staying illuminated then its logged a problem-i think you have two choices1.take it to a kawasaki dealer to see what it thinks is up,or 2.you can manually earth out a wire i think and the rev counter well tell you the problem in a morse code stylee-its a bugger to explain and ive never done it!!!!maybe its just the inbuilt immobiliser antenna?sometimes if you just move it 100 metres or so it can make the difference.Does it have an alarm fitted??

theres a manual on here for a 2005 one , the FI diagnostics should be the same ,

thanks for that, fi fault code is 23 camshaft sensor fault ,will check it with multimeter.thanks again.

makes sense , camshaft sensor is a fatal fault , as they say , is the bike still under warranty ?
