Andygib1982 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 right first off here's the facts. The thing the clutch cable move's which in turn pushes the push rod was sticking and the fact the cable was fooked didnt help.So this in turn cocked up the steel plates bluing them.Only in 2nd gear did it slip and at 2 points in the rev's (when the power jumped the most)9k and 11k.Now i have replaced the friction plates and steel plates but it still does it,But not nearly as bad(you have to be harder on the power).Looking at the haynes and after speaking to my mate, could it be the or clutch springs ?which were not replaced
Evilchicken0 Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Yes it's more than likely the springs. Always replace them when you do a clutch. Take out theold ones and stand one next to the new ones you'll find it's shorter
