BenW Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Really. Not like the ARKX. This really does live... Matt looks like a proud father. Expect an update sometime soon. Well, maybe not soon, but there will be an update at some point. Of that I'm sure... BW
Tomfoolery Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Holy batshit that thing sounds loud!
TKDMitch Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 That sounds great How tall is Matt btw? Bike looks like a minimoto Mitch
Sidkinky Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 That's the weirdest sounding thing I've heard for a long time. Props and respec', as I believe the Yoot say nowadays.
BenW Posted December 8, 2009 Author Report Posted December 8, 2009 We'll have to do something about the tiny fuel tank though. Not going to get far on that... BW
levo Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Thanks fuck he's cut the wig......................... Nice one Looks a bit like TriGGer..............
skyline Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Fantastic stuff! That bike would be set to be one of the scariest bikes to ride - 110kg and the CR500 power curve - wheelies ahoy! Congrats!
jollygiant Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 That is Quick chuck the bodywork on and get it in the mag and some proper vid of spining up/ wheeling everywhere. Nice work
BenW Posted December 8, 2009 Author Report Posted December 8, 2009 That is Quick chuck the bodywork on and get it in the mag and some proper vid of spining up/ wheeling everywhere. Nice work Hmm, bodywork you say? It's taken this long to get the blimmin thing running. Let's not get ahead of ourselves...
drunkn munky Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 WooooooHooooooo at last I cant wait to see the noise testers face when you first trackday it
SeXV Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Wow. Never thought I'd see the day. Makes up for no updates in the mag for the past 2 months! Brilliant. Matts face says it all
jollygiant Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 Hmm, bodywork you say? It's taken this long to get the blimmin thing running. Let's not get ahead of ourselves... Oh sorry forgot this is PB we're talking about!!! I mean chuck it back in the shed cover it in cobwebs for another 3 months and pretend it never did run Then get it out try and put it together but find you've lost the screw for the faring and that you sold the seat unit on ebay whilst drunk!!
BenW Posted December 8, 2009 Author Report Posted December 8, 2009 Oh sorry forgot this is PB we're talking about!!! I mean chuck it back in the shed cover it in cobwebs for another 3 months and pretend it never did run Then get it out try and put it together but find you've lost the screw for the faring and that you sold the seat unit on ebay whilst drunk!! You're right. That would normally happen. But MW has had the foresight to avoid the situation by giving the bike to PB mechanic Mark at M&M. That boy drinks more Red Bull than is good for him, he won't be able to keep his fidgety fingers off it. He's the reason it's actually running. There's a small update in the next issue but there should be a more indepth report in the one following that. BW
jaycee Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 I genuinely neber thought I'd see the day that any of you got one of those "project bikes" from the mag running. Ii's a PB tradition to lead us along the garden path to the garage only to see a new project, with the old one sold/scrapped/hidden away. I like it, it'll never pass noise testing though!
JC900RR Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 That's mental. Should be a wicked laugh..
SHimmer45 Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 it had a diff front end grafted on? look alot chunker than than what comes bolted to a mito
Firehawk Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 it had a diff front end grafted on? look alot chunker than than what comes bolted to a mito Kinda looks ZX-6R'ish. I close my eyes, and the sound takes me out to my local MX track. Sounds wicked!
Crooked Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Fucking Excellent ! And old friend of mine built a KR1 with a KX500 lump in it, first test ride it snapped the chain, 2nd ride it rattled and shook its number plate, rear light and many nuts and bolts off in a trail of destruction down my street. Vibrated enough to loosen fillings (bowels)
heds954 Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Yayyyyyy!! An' 'bout fuggin time too! Virtual beers all round
trackdaybob Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 Good stuff..........................so far Now get it finished so I can have a go.
TriGGer Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Thanks fuck he's cut the wig......................... Nice one Looks a bit like TriGGer.............. Because I look mid 20's or he look's 40 ?
marcaztls Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 It's Eco-Friendly now too. Runs on Ribena instead of crushed dinosaurs
ramondo Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 It's Eco-Friendly now too. Runs on Ribena instead of crushed dinosaurs LOL good to see it run. I wanted to do something similar with my RS125 but keep the running gear stock (and keep the L plates on too).

-=JK=- Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 that sound fookin' dangerous. how much do you want for it? top work by the caffiene-addled spanner twirler
marcaztls Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 that sound fookin' dangerous. how much do you want for it? top work by the caffiene-addled spanner twirler It sounds a lot 'meatier' in the metal, trust me the camera makes it sound like a 250 'crosser but the Gibson pipe on the Mito makes a gorgeous sound. Really bassy. And thanks very much, I was pretty pleased to finally hear it running. There's some top work gone it to it so far, it deserves to be finished and ridden
zx6rrob Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 WooooooHooooooo at last I cant wait to see the noise testers face when you first trackday it Angelsey. Noise testers?? Oooohhhh no no no....
