Like it apart from the seat as it doesnt go with the rest of the bike.

Well cool. Me like very much.

I would love to build something like that.

500cc V4 2 stroke, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. bet it sounds nice?? Reminds me of the days of Doohan, Rainey and Schwantz.

Nice one Vortex ... that looks the biz ...

U might find that seat a little steep to live with - throwing a lot of weight onto your wrists ..

I had mine (RG500/GSXR) at that angle to start with n found it unbearable after 20 mins .. although I do have a weak wrist from a biking off years ago

Still its easy to alter if u find the same

500cc V4 2 stroke, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

The jealous git in me wishes the NSRVF was that close to done.

The pedant in me would point out it's not a V4 - it is a twin-crank square 4 with the pairs of cylinders offset at 90(?) degrees...

As per the RGV500 a la Schwantz and any of the YZR500s..... They were always classed as V4s Dave (you pedantic sod! ;))!

Just to be truly pedantic, the Suzuki RG500 was a square 4; the RD500 is effectively 2 x parallel twins bolted together, one behind the other. :icon_salut:

[pedant hat, anorak and wellies on]

Which is a square 4 - look at the cranks/conrod positions from above - the RG and RD both have a 2x2 'square' arrangement of 2 parallel twins bolted together, one behind the other - the difference is that the front pair of pistons on the RD move in a different direction to the rear pair. Bt the cranks work exactly the same.

Nah, it's definitely a V4 cos there's room to put jacket potatoes in the space between the V on long runs.

Can you put some more pictures up of the actual engine mounts? I have just started putting an RG500 engine into an 08 R6 chassis and would be interested in seeing how you mounted the engine and how the rear exhausts pass through the frame? I am about to have my first (probably of many) attempts at making the engine mounting plates.. I will also need to get an offset front sprocket as I have mounted the RG engine centrally and the much larger R6 rear wheel will require an offset front sprocket!! Anyone know where to get one?

It's an Australian bike, and was recently featured in Australian Motorcycle News.

A couple of issues later, they even said the guy was contmeplating a small production run.

Conveniently, I can't find that particular issue, but when it does surface I'll get more details.

Oh, and it ended up painted white with red speedblocks.

Just the colour scheme that I want to use..
