kwakap Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 wow, nasty, wtf was the driver doing? and as for the trucker, ignoring a copper, nutter
Marb Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Just around the corner from where i live. The copper survived, and is doing well, considering.
Tomfoolery Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 What a pair of idiots. The driver for not noticed a flouro copper in front of him, and copper for sitting stationary in front of a 70mph car.
Gary Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 You can see that the policeman realised the car wasn't going to stop, you see him try to jump of the motorbike just before the car strikes him! I hope the policeman didn't loose his leg from the impact.. It does seem a bit of a daft manouver on the police officers part to come out into the road like that on his bike with no way to get out (not that there are many ways to close a lane and not leave yourself vunerable to being hit).. Still I hope he makes a full recovery, god knows what that car driver was thinking, he clearly wasn't paying attention, but equally you don't expect to see a stationary motorbike sideways on a motorway/dual carriageway!!
Tomfoolery Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 No, you don't. Obviously, I have no idea of the training he has, but a few seconds thought would see me park the bike in the lane, lights flashing, then the copper a couple of hundred yards up the road in front of the bike, waving the traffic to slow. No?
Brad6R Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 to be fair, how fukin stupid is that copper! Do you really think think they taught him to do that.
wesifume Posted September 8, 2009 Author Report Posted September 8, 2009 to be fair, how fukin stupid is that copper! Do you really think think they taught him to do that. Fairly stupid Copper alright. From the moment he went onto the chevrons it looked all wrong. Madness.
Jay Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Lucky the ambulance was there eh? Where was it suposed to be going and how did they sort that out? Shit state of affairs.
Marb Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 The copper was escorting the ambulance. Usually when lanes are closed off they use cars. Multiple. One a few hundred meters up on the hard shoulder with lights, then one on the lane it's self. He wanted to shut down the lane so that the ambulance didn't get slowed down by other traffic. It is a very vaunerable postition he is in. But come on, the Seat driver was fucking asleep. First a truck goes to the left lane, then a car infront of you. Then you have another 30 seconds to realise what is happening. He wasnt doing anything...
